Leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, distributed Eid gifts, offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers with quake victims and visited field hospitals and tents villages set up by MQM in quake-hit areas.

According to a statement issued here on Sunday, In-charge MQM coordination committees Anwer Aalam along with MNAs, MPAs and other party leaders visited different quake-hit areas and offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at various mosques in quake-hit areas.

Another statement issued the same day said MOM leaders celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with quake victims and distributed Eid gifts among children on behalf of party chief Altaf Hussain.

It said Deputy Convener MQM coordination committee, Dr Farooq Sattar, Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghauri and other party leaders offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Police Lines Ground, Muzaffarabad.

Meanwhile, they met with President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Anwer to greet him on Eid day.

It also said MQM leaders visited the graveyard in quake-hit areas to offer Fateha for Isal-e-Sawab to those who died in October 8 earthquake.

It added that renowned television artists of the country were also present in quake-hit areas to celebrate Eid with quake victims.
